I’ve been struggling for the past couple of months to balance all these hats that I’ve been wearing. Mom, blogger, teacher, wife. It would be a stretch of the truth to say that I have been doing it by myself. My husband has been my biggest cheerleader, fan and support system I could have ever asked for. He gives me to time to write lesson plans, blog posts and recipes. He puts up with my crazy projects littering our house, my ramblings about the education system and my pure and total exhaustion. He is not the only who has been helping me these past few months. I have been so lucky to find myself surrounded by amazing teachers who are willing to share their wisdom with me and without them I would have been lost in a sea of papers, forms, policies and curriculum. I wanted to do something special for all these people who go the extra mile for me so i grabbed a couple of packs of Extra Gum to get started.
This is one of the simplest gifts I’ve ever made. First thing you need to do is pick up a few packs of yummy gum. I like the Extra Dessert Delights, it’s like giving someone 15 bowls of ice cream/slices of pie/pieces of cake in one fell swoop without having to worry about messy drips or bulging bellies. Then you will need to cut a piece of your favorite paper to fit around the outside of gum package. I chose to use the same paper that I created gifts with here, and grabbed a piece of my favorite metallic gold washi tape to secure it to itself.
Then you will need to print off your own sheet of printable gift tags. I created these ones full of quotes about going the EXTRA mile. I also created these blank ones in case you wanted to create your own tags. You will simply print them out, cut them out and attach them to the front of your paper wrapped packs of fun. It’s an easy way for you to give back to those special people in your life who support you through it all.
