One of my favorite foods ever is sushi, but sadly where we live there aren't ANY sushi restaurants. We are stuck with the kind you can get in a plastic package at Safeway and that just isn't the same. Now there are a couple of AMAZING salads that they keep in the case next to the sushi and I also really enjoy those, but I figure at $5 a tiny bowl I could probably do it cheaper at home, and do it better! Here is my take on the Asian Noodle Salad! Asian Noodle Salad 1/2 bag of broccoli ... Read the Post

Kids Bathroom Update
So a while back (before we moved) I shared with you my plans for my kids bathroom. I haven't made too much progress, okay...like really barely any, but I have painted the trim! Our entire house is done in lathe and plaster and stucco and other weirdy wall treatments which has been...interesting. Anyways, here is a collage to show you what I am working with. Smallest bathroom ever! It wouldn't seem so small if the ceiling didn't slant over and cut off half the room. Well, it would still ... Read the Post

Mediterranean Salad Wraps
So it is a constant struggle trying to come up with yummy and healthy food to make for dinner EVERY night! I had fallen into a rut of making the same couple of things or boring easy dinners (premade veggie burgers and roasted potatoes anyone?) and I knew that this was going to be the dinner to snap me out of it! It is actually really easy, and involves mostly chopping lettuce and using a food processor (have I mentioned how much I love my $6 goodwill find!). Here is the worlds easiest ... Read the Post
Building A Safety Fence (aka don’t let the children die on my watch)
So many of you might remember that we moved into our "forever home" about a month ago. One of the first things we knew we needed to address were the outdoor basement stairs with a safety fence. I lovingly refer to them as the basement stairs of doom! See what I mean! Crazy unsafe!! They were originally 1" plumbing pipe placed strategically around the 10' drop off to the concrete basement stairs. Totally acceptable for adults, but for the three little people running wild around here, not ... Read the Post

Vintage Hollywood Birthday Party Planning

So to celebrate this coming of age i am going to be throwing myself a fun "Vintage Hollywood Glamour" birthday event! I am so excited to plan and create and decorate and do all ... Read the Post
Game Day Vegan Nachos
Okay, so the whole going vegan thing was supposed to be a lot harder than it has been. I am not going to lie, when my dear, sweet hubby decides to chow down on some ooey gooey pizza right next to me, I might be a little grumpy. Okay, a lot grumpy. But then I make meals like this and I am all like "in your face cheese!". well, that might be an exaggeration, but you get what i'm saying! It's good, it's healthy and I am rockin' it! Nachos are a go to in our house. When my hubby and I first ... Read the Post
A Quick Laundry Room Update!
I don't know about you all, but I hate moving. I hate packing boxes. I hate loading them in a truck. I hate unloading them from that same truck. I tolerate unpacking because it means I get to decide where everything is going to go in my new house, which is kind of fun. I feel like I have been in moving mode for months...so on night #2 in our forever house, I broke out the paint and got busy! Our laundry room is in the basement (yuck)! My sweet hubby questioned my sanity, I mean there are ... Read the Post
Wheel of Fortune- The Craziest 1 Year and 36 Hours of My Life
If you missed the first post in this series you can read it here! Now fast forward a year. Almost exactly a year after that fateful audition I got an email from wheel saying that they were trying to get in touch with me and would I please call them. I was skeptical, but decided to give them a call. They informed me that if I was interested they had a film date for me to on the show. I was still skeptical, after all I never got a letter. They told me to take a couple of hours to think about ... Read the Post
