I need to work on my fun and catchy titles...I mean there are so many good things going on in this meal and nothing I wrote even came close to describing it! This is how I can tell I've been out of school for a while! Anyway....I'm totally off topic. What I really want to share with you all today is this awesome vegan chili recipe that I have been making (over and over)! It is seriously so good that I think my hubby prefers it to regular chili! I will preface this by saying we live in the ... Read the Post

Cabinet Doors into Hat Racks!
So I have told you before about my LOVE for the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, but let me just say it again. That place is the best! This project was made using exclusively supplies I bought there and cost me only $12!! Seriously! Three hat racks for $12, unbelievable! It all started with my hubby's overwhelming hat collection, he seriously own like 20 baseball (or whatever the grown up version is called) hats! They were overtaking every flat surface in our bedroom and so he asked if ... Read the Post
Random Thoughts Running Through My Mind
So I have so many ideas and thoughts and craziness running through my head these days it seems hard to focus!! Let me share it with you and hopefully you will be able to help me sort it all out!!! #1 I really want to create a fun gallery wall in my new office instead of the collage frames i already have. Part of me REALLY wants it to be full of different fun colored frames and a random gallery placement. The other part of me wants them all to match the color scheme of my office and be in ... Vegan Recipe Roundup
So you may have noticed a shift in the recipes I share, yep, that's right, I went vegan. I was a vegetarian for nine years and I recently decided to go back. I added in the dairy because I feel like it is something that i tend to use as a (fattening) crutch. I also watched a couple of documentaries (forks over knives and vegucated) which both talked about the serious health benefits of cutting out animal protein from your diet. I figure that it doesn't have to be forever and I can add in ... Read the Post

Homemade Veggie Burgers with Sweet Potato Fries!
So we are on a healthy diet at our house, which has taken us the vegan route. It was super hard at first (until we got all the contraband out of the house), but it has been so much fun exploring with new recipes! I have always been a huge fan of veggie burgers and so I decided i should attempt to make my own! I started off by following Angela over at Oh She Glows recipe for Spicy BBQ Chickpea Burgers. Of course I can't follow a recipe to save myself so I just used it as a guide. I had a can ... Read the Post

So I while back I applied (I think that's what it was) to be the printable contributor over at Sugar Bee Crafts. I didn't get that opportunity, but that works out for you all since this is the printable I entered! Enjoy! Print it off as an 8 x 10 or whatever size you want and use it to dress up your St. Patrick's Day decorations...you do decorate for St. Patrick's day right?!? Send me a pic if you use it! Wheel of Fortune- The Craziest 1 Year and 36 Hours of My Life
My Wheel of Fortune story starts a year ago. Last January I filled out an online application to be on Wheel of Fortune. I had decided that 2012 was going to be the year I got on a game show! Not even a week later I got an email inviting me to come audition for the show. Now the audition was in seattle and I was living about 2 hours away west of Olympia but I took the time off work and the hubby watched the kids and off I went. The audition process was held in a conference room of a ... Read the Post
Veggie Stir Fry with Peanut Sauce and Won Tons
I have decided to take a vegan diet for a while. I was a vegetarian for nine years (ages 11-20) and had no problem giving up the meat. I have recently been watching A LOT of documentaries on netflix (darn you netflix) about food, nutrition and heath and I think I am making a good decision. That being said, it is hard! I love milk and cheese. Like a lot. A whooooole lot. So it has been a challenge. But anyway...here is one of my most favorite meals. The peanut sauce is a total winner (my ... Read the Post
Kids Bathroom Makeover Design Ideas
I love planning room makeovers. Something about designing rooms calms me (I'm weird I know). So we are preparing to move into our forever home and my creative hands are itching to start making it our own. I have been so excited about it that I can hardly think clearly about any one space long enough to come up with a solid idea. I decided that I would start small and go for a space that we could live without for a weekend while I worked and wasn't going to overwhelm me as I got going! I ... Read the Post
We Interrupt This Regularly Scheduled Post For A Roundup…
So I try to keep a sort of schedule on this here blog, but sometimes life gets in the way. Usually I try to do one cooking/recipe post, one crafty post, one recap and then one something random (printable, life update, awesome other sites). BUT, we are in the process of buying a house and moving, so our lives are packed up in boxes and in various locations and I may be trying to just keep it together enough to make it to the new house with three children. That being said, I took the trouble of ... Read the Post
Homemade BBQ Chicken Pizza
We love pizza at my house, but especially a super thin crust pizza. There aren't a lot of choices at the store for thin crust so we make our own most of the time. I am also a super lover of bargain shopping. The best place I have found to get a great bargain at our grocery store is the clearance meat department. I know that sounds weird, but seriously we either freeze it or eat it immediately. For this dinner we used a bag of precooked grilled chicken that I got for literally $1.12. I mean ... Read the Post
