One of my goals for 2013 was to complete six of the projects I had pinned in the last year. The first one I wanted to do was create a new laptop skin. I had been rocking the same sticker on my laptop for about 5 years which is longer than I ever intended! My inspiration came from Clarissa over at Clarissa'sCreativity Space . She used white contact paper and some beautiful patterned papers. I went to the dollar store today to pick up some white contact paper, but they were all out! ... Read the Post

Pins to do in 2013
I am guilty of pinning away mentally saying I will come back and complete some of these awesome projects I pin, and then promptly forgetting I even pinned them! This is my conscious effort to come back and complete at least 6 (if not more) of the more involved projects that both excite and challenge me! Ask me July how I'm doing!! Quick Business Card Holder
I spent the morning perusing Pinterest (follow me at http://pinterest.com/craftilyeverash/) looking at all the sewing projects I've been wishing I could do. I decided to stop wishing and start doing and picked one that looked like it would be easy! Source: mysocalledgreenlife.com via Ashley on Pinterest The original tutorial is over at My So Called Green Life and she does a great job of explaining you should just head over there! Easy Pocket Ice Packs!
I had a rare break in my usually crazy life on Monday. My sweet hubby was home sick from work and decided to take a nap while our littlest was also napping. Somehow I managed to pawn off the middlest on him as well with the promise of cartoons and papa snuggles in our big bed and found myself all alone! I decided to finish up one of those projects that has been sitting on my to do list forever and I knew would only take 10 minutes once I actually got started. I am a beginner sewer (I ... Family Secret Tahini Recipe
So my family loves dips. It probably has something to do with the fact that we spend every Sunday watching 12 hours of football and eating "football" food, which is almost always chips, dip, wings and nachos! Now I will admit, before I met my hubby I had never had tahini...I mean it sounds a little weird, and in my opinion the stuff you get straight from the jar is GROSS! But after his mom made it for me, I was hooked! It is seriously soooo good, and it has such a unique flavor combination ... Read the Post

Custom Tile Coasters
One of the items I sell in my Etsy shop is custom tile coasters. I recently did a giveaway with Izzy B Designs and the winner wanted a couple of sets of custom tile coasters. I started by getting the images ready in Photoshop. I am by no means a master of Photoshop, but I love having the ability to create really fun designs and edit photos! I sent the images off to staples to be printed, my printer at home has been acting up and I don't have the time or energy to try and figure out ... Read the Post
Crock Pot Clam Chowder – Yum!
I love warm and hearty soups in the fall and winter and now that my dear hubby is working in a seafood processing warehouse we get A LOT of fresh from the ocean seafood! I have had a couple of vacuum packed bags of fresh razor clams in my fridge since Friday and I wasn't sure what we were going to do with them. Usually we just saute them and eat them plain, but I wanted to get creative with this batch! I found this really easy looking recipe for clam chowder and thought I would give it a go! ... Easiest Way to Patch Jeans
If your kids are anything like mine they get holes in the knees of their jeans every time they go outside! It is slightly annoying and really makes me feel a little trashy when I take them out with gaping holes in their pants. I am also not going to buy them a new pair of jeans every time they get a hole in them (I would be broke if I did)! So I have been patching them, now I am a lame sewer...I mean I really like the idea of sewing, and in my head I am a total rockstar at it, but in real ... Read the Post
Eric’s 7th Birthday – Avengers Style!
Last weekend was my son's birthday, how he got to be seven already I have no idea! We had a big Avenger's themed birthday party planned, but he got himself grounded the week before so we ended up doing a small get together with just our family. It was still a lot of fun and I think he had a great time! I spent a lot of time preparing for the party and the first thing I got started on was the invitation. I knew I wanted something different so I started designing! After a few ... Read the Post
Wood Blocks for Holiday Decorating
My friend and I went thrifting the other night. It was an almost magical experience because we went without children! Between you and me, I can’t remember the last time I went to a thrift store without a baby strapped to my body and a toddler in a cart! First stop was a spot I’d never been to, but let me tell you this folks it was HUGE. I’m talking old grocery store converted into thrift store big. Even though I went looking for upcycles and craft supplies I was quickly sucked in by the ... Read the Post
