Today I am sharing a super easy knock off tutorial AND a fun way to put it to use! It all started when I saw this neat wooden tool box in Pottery Barn's catalog, but when I saw the $45 price tag attached I knew that I could do better. I had picked up this wooden tool box from a garage sale last summer for the ridiculously low price of free. I have been staring at it since then trying to figure out what to do with it, but once I saw that picture I knew it was meant to be! I started off ... Read the Post

I reallllly need to make a fun spring wreath for my front door, but I can't settle on a final idea so my door is still naked! 1. Krystal's Pick - Leprechaun Tot School 2. Coconut Curry with Rice Noodles
I love the complexity of flavor that most asian dishes offer and yet I rarely venture into trying to recreate them myself. However I'm working on making 52 new recipes this year and so I'm finding that in order to do this I am going to have to stretch my boundaries. That's where this coconut curry recipe comes in! It was pretty easy to make and delivered a super flavor punch that left me wanting more! Coconut Curry adapted from Silk.com 2 Tbsp olive oil 2 Tbsp minced garlic 1/2 ... Read the Post

Free For All Friday – #SilkLove
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Silk. The opinions and text are all mine. So around this time of year I always get bitten with the eat better bug. You know the one that starts off with one "wrong" click of the netflix remote and ends 6 hours later with you swearing off all animal products and planning your next protest in front of a fast food joint. Well this year I am prepared! We try really hard to eat locally and seasonally during the summer and fall when ... Read the Post
DIY Princess Ribbon Wands
My daughter is a huge Disney Princess fan and so back when I was planning her party I mare these princess wands to match all of her costumes. They were super quick to make and my daughter's both loved them so much! I started by cutting my 4' dowel into 4 even pieces each 12"long. I used the chop saw to do that but these dowels are so skinny you could probably use pruning shears, loppers or even a sharp serrated knife. Once your wands are cut go ahead and screw an eye hook into the end of ... Read the Post
Waterscape Candle Holders – West Elm Knock Off
Here we are again back with another fun knock off. As some of you have seen I've got a lot of fun built ins, in my house and one of the things I've struggled with is having fun and interesting things to put on them. Today's knock off is such a cool technique and I can't wait to use it on a few other things in the future. The original inspiration was this really pretty watercolor candle holder from West Elm. Now while $6 isn't too bad I knew I could do better. I started off with a few of ... Read the Post

Macaroni & Cheese Cups
My kids love mac & cheese, a lot. In fact it is all three of their favorite food! I don't want them to grow up thinking that macaroni and cheese should be orange and tasteless so I've been working on perfecting my own semi-homemade version. I have finally reached the perfect combination of cheese/sauce/noodle and now I'm ready to share my secrets with you! I am sure that you could just as easily make this totally homemade, but for as often as I make it I wanted something I could just throw ... Read the Post

I've been changing out the decor in my house to some St. Patrick's Day items and some spring stuff. It's been such a fun process and I love adding so much more green to my shelves and mantle because I can't help but think about spring! Here are some pics of what I've got going on! I was picking up some stuff at our local dollar tree a while back and found these awesome foam shamrocks on an end cap. I knew immediately that I wanted to sew them together and make a banner for ...
